Cumulus is a fluffy cloud-looking lamp that uses Processing to pull weather information from a web server, which connects to our Arduino and neo-pixel lights.
We coded the Arduino so that the neo-pixel lights would display different colours/patterns according to the weather forecast (refer to the video below for more information).
• Team: Jessica Chow, Gloria Ip.
• My Roles: Film, edit video + photography (apart from contributions in ideating, brainstorming, etc).
It was overall a very fun experience, since neither of us had used an Arduino before. It was quite bumpy along the way as we were trying to figure out the codes and the actual product design of our lamp. Nonetheless, it was a ton of fun to build!
